We as with many families did not expect for our child to have any
anomalies. The previous ultrasounds did not flag any medical
concerns, however the same comments as to the size of the child’s
head for the term of the pregnancy was always mentioned.
We welcomed Miles with love and apprehension in fear of the
unknown. We were not prepared for this introduction of a special
needs child. We since have never looked back with regret and we are
amazed by the unconditional love and pure joy of life Miles brings
with his smile. I suppose it is what we fear the most that will make
our lives unmistakable special. These children are truly a gift from
God.
